How I Surrendered
You may have heard that my book Surrender to Lead went on sale yesterday. What I haven’t shared much is how uncomfortable it was to write, because writing doesn’t come naturally to me, and neither does vulnerability when the stakes are high.
For a moment, we considered a ghostwriter. It didn’t last. This book is built on lived experience, and Joe Terry and I knew it had to be written in our own voices, with all the risk that comes with being seen and judged.
This week’s edition of This Week in Culture reflects on what that process taught me about surrender, and why letting go internally is often the thing that creates clarity, alignment, and accountability in leadership.
