Share Management Meeting Notes

by | Mar 25, 2024

Hello, culture leaders. This is your culture challenge for the week.

For the next month, every time you attend your management or executive call, write a brief synopsis of what was discussed, very high level, and send it to everyone that reports into you, just for a month. Then, after a month, ask people for feedback on those emails. Was it helpful? What was helpful about it? Did you read it? Was it boring? What did you think?

Sharing information that is discussed on management calls at a high level is really valuable to your team because one, it gives them visibility into upcoming changes, making change management easier. It also starts to develop them as leaders. They start to see what leaders are working on so that if they aspire to become a leader, they can start thinking about those things too. It also opens transparency, which increases trust. And frankly, there’s no reason not to do it.

Why not help bring more people into the conversation or at least give them visibility into it in case they have feedback for you. Give it a shot, let me know how it goes.
